Ordinary Beings

Ordinary Beings is the film studio of Anna Sandilands and Ewan McNicol.

We are pushing toward the things that connect us to each other and to the natural world. Toward what is real, original, meaningful and honors all of us light-emitting, molecule-swapping, extra-ordinary beings.

Our work has been curated and screened at Sundance, Tribeca, BFI London, CPH:DOX, and SXSW as well as MOMA New York, the Institute of Contemporary Arts London and the National Portrait Gallery London. Our feature film Uncertain was a NYT's Critic's Pick, and won the Albert Maysles Best Documentary Director Award at Tribeca Film Festival.

Our latest feature film Particles Of Everything will release in 2027, and our untitled documentary series begins production early 2027.

Our commercial projects have won Cannes Lions, Webbys, Pencils, Clios and run during the Super Bowl.

Ordinary Beings was formerly Lucid Inc.
